Congratulations to Richard Huish College on winning the UK Bar Mock Trial 2026

On the 22nd March, Richard Huish College in Taunton won the UK Bar Mock Trial National Finals at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, after beating 24 schools and colleges from across the UK.  8 New Square is a proud sponsor of the College, providing resources, financial support and mentoring/coaching by Jessie Bowhill KC.  This is a fantastic achievement for students in an area of the country with a low take up of students going into further education.  Inspired by their experiences, one student has secured an offer to study Law at Oxford University, and seven out of eight of the team are going on to read Law at University this year.  Congratulations to all of the students on an impressive performance.
