Chambers is delighted to announce that Michael Tappin KC has been appointed a Justice of the High Court, assigned to what will be the Business and Property Division (which will include the current Chancery Division), with effect from 1 October 2026. Michael will sit as a judge of the specialist Patents Court hearing some of the most technically demanding cases.
Michael has practised from chambers for some 35 years, acting in a wide range of patent and other intellectual property matters, and in recent years has also sat as a Deputy High Court Judge. Chambers congratulates him warmly and wishes him every success in his new role.
