In November 2014 Michael Tappin QC took part in a mock trial at a seminar in Istanbul, before a panel including Dr Klaus Grabinski from the Bundesgerichtshof. The seminar was part a program of judicial training for national patent judges organised by the European Patent Academy (part of the EPO) and was attended by judges from Turkey and various other EPC states.
