New members of chambers

Chambers is delighted to announce that William Duncan and Jaani Riordan have joined chambers following the completion of their pupillage in chambers.

William Duncan has a first class honours degree in molecular and cellular biochemistry from Oxford University. His pupil supervisors have included Andrew Lykiardopoulos, Tom Moody-Stuart, Charlotte May and Mark Chacksfield. He attended the trial between Eli Lilly v Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy [2013] EWHC 1737 during pupillage with Charlotte May and was commended for his assistance at the trial by the instructing solicitors and leading counsel.

Jaani Riordan recently completed a DPhil in law at the University of Oxford, and holds a first class honours degree in law (graduating with the top first) and a first class honours degree in computer science from the University of Melbourne. His doctoral research examined the liability of internet intermediaries. Before joining Chambers, Jaani practised as a solicitor with King & Wood Mallesons in Melbourne, where he specialised in intellectual property and information technology law. His pupil supervisors have included James Abrahams, Charlotte May, Henry Ward and James St Ville. He has received a number of instructions during pupillage, particularly in the IT field.
